Our lodge has just completed our centennial year.
As part of our centennial celebration, we asked you to challenge yourself to be an active participant in our lodge, and in scouting. The lodge set a series of tasks to complete to earn a special centennial award. These tasks had to be completed by December 31st, 2024.
Once completed and the completed list submitted to the lodge, a token was issued that could be used to purchase a special centennial lodge flap with a gold border. Wearing the centennial award flap shows you are an active member of the Order of the Arrow, Totanhan Nakaha Lodge and your scouting unit.We are pleased to say that as of December 31st, 204 members have completed the requirements and submitted them to the lodge.
If you have not submitted the award requirements, you have until January 15th to do so. You can enter your submission using the links above.
If you have not purchased your centennial award lodge flap, they are available until January 31st. You can purchase one or two lodge flaps at https://design.nwpwest.com/tnl_oa_100/shop/home. You must have a completed Centennial Award token to purchase the Centennial Award lodge flap. If you have lost your token, send an email to totanhannakahalodge@oa.nsbsa.org with your name and unit number.

Ft. Snelling Wreath Cleanup
November 18, 2024 (Updated November 30, 2024)
The 2025 Fort Snelling National Cemetery Wreath Clean Up Service Project will run from 9AM to 12PM on Saturday February 1st, 2025. It is open to all (Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturers, and the general public).
This is a great service project of cheerful service with over 1000 scouts out helping last year. It’s a service project many scouts look forward to every year to come together to help. The service event consists of removing wreaths and holiday decorations from memorials on the grounds of the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Process:
Register by individuals or by group. Use the registration button below.
Annual Health and Medical Records are required for all Scouting participants.
All forms can be found in the attachment section of the registration page.
Event Staff Help Need:
During the registration process, you will be asked whether you have any volunteers that may be able to assist in specialist roles during the event. We are always looking for individuals that are able to serve as drivers or members of the dumpster teams (transporting wreaths to dumpster areas with personal vehicles or open top trailers).
If you have a truck or open top trailer, please consider bringing them to assist with the hauling component of the clean-up.
Where:
Fort Snelling National Cemetery is adjacent to the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport at 7601 34th Avenue South Minneapolis, MN 55450. After registering, you will receive instuctions on your assigned entry gate and work area. Close to 1,000 volunteers are expected to attend, so please ensure that you follow arrival instructions that will be sent out the week prior to the event.
How:
In order to provide updates to participants ahead of the event, as well as assist in designating arrival gates, we are asking that all participants pre-register for the event.
Good to Know:
Weather: Always plan for cold weather! Medical personnel are on site at each of the three cemetery sections to assist with first aid if-needed.
Walk-ins: You are strongly encouraged to pre-register your attendee count, but walk-ins will be allowed.
Map: An event map is on the registration site.
